Imperial Milk Stout with Toasted Coconut, Coffee & Milk Sugar
As you may have guessed from the creative name, CCS is a stout brewed with heaps of toasted coconut and freshly roasted coffee from our friends at Zoe’s Cafe & Events here in Downtown Greeley. The sweet, creaminess of the toasted coconut offers a perfect complement to the complex character contributed the Mama Nelly’s coffee, a blend of four different roasts of the same direct-trade Peruvian beans.

Poured into a Trillium glass a very nice dark brown color, with some very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus tan head, which also leaves a pretty nice medium size island, and some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is very nice, malty, hoppy, with a very nice touch of chocolate/toffee, coffee, coconut, vanilla, licorice. The taste is very nice, malty, hoppy, with a very nice touch of chocolate/toffee, coffee, coconut, vanilla, licorice, with a very nice sweetness. Medium Body, ABV is hidden very nicely, with a slight dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty beer.

Black pour with a light brown sugar head. Strong coffee notes with some chocolate and very light on the coconut. Feels somewhat watery for a shout with an 8% ABV. Overall fairly good. No where near the outstanding the Beer Geeks have rated it.

Copenhagen 1/5 2024. 47,3 cl can from Kihoskh, Kbh. V. Busy can with coconuts and leaves of the coffee plant.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a huge beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is intense with a sweet and a bit sugary odor of malts and an abundance of coconut. Almond liqueur and vanilla. Hints of coffee with milk and sugar.
Low carbonation. Fairly thick, oily, creamy, far, a bit viscous, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sourish like milk gone bad. Sugary undertone. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry with a touch of alcohol.

Coffee Coconut Stout pours black, with a small but long-lasting, lacing tan head. The aroma has big notes of toasted coconut with hints of coffee. The flavor starts with sweet, toasted coconut, then blends with the coffee to make a creamy flavor, then ends with coconut again. Good feel. Overall, it is big, stout has big flavors and is coconut dominant, but it blends nicely with the coffee.

16oz can.
Pours opaque dark brown with a half-inch head of tan. Big coffee, coconut in the nose with bakers chocolate following through. Somewhat full bodied with a slickish mouthfeel. Coconut, espresso, dark chocolate on the palate. Finishes a bit sweet with big coconut.
