Pours a hazy, cloudy yellow-orange with a finger of white head. Head retenton is fair, with great lacing left behind. Aroma is biscuit and bread with a light coffee twist. Flavor profile delivers more coffee than the aroma. Coffee is followed by pale, pilsner and biscuit malts. Herbal and floral hops aid the coffee in forming a light, but tasty flavor profile. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a velvety, smooth texture. Overall, it contains just bits and whiffs of coffee. Something about it just seems a little... off in terms of overall experience.

Served in a 12oz snifter. Draft. Reviewed from notes.

i have dreamt of beer like this, and have long been curious about good cold brew coffee added to one of these hazy northeastern type ipas. turns out it really works. i think the lack of bitterness in a base ipa like this allows the coffee to really take the lead on that, and not run into that bitterness double jeopardy. i also think the citrus intensity of the hops in here like the earthy roast of the coffee, it grounds them some, but also helps bring out some really neat dried fruity notes in the coffee, all without either of them being particularly heavy, like, i could drink a bunch of these! hazy and shaded only a little by the coffee in the appearance, and super creamy headed. the texture is really soft soo, as round and almost starchy as the base beer is without the coffee, which obviously adds very little acidity to this. light dark chocolate from the coffee, a slight almost burnt note, but it stays behind the hops in the flavor, which are as fresh and delicious and properly juicy as they are in this now almost iconic base ipa. the coffee is awesome in here, and i know its not for everyone, but this is as well done as a coffee ipa can probably be done, and i think the new school nature of the beer lends to the coffee addition better than something more classically west coast, but someone prove me wrong! congrats to weldwerks for being one of the first to take this leap, its great stuff if you are a coffee enthusiast like me!

I usually love coffee IPAs, and i love weldwerks, but to be honest the coffee is not appropriate for this beer. Its a nice NE style ipa, low bitterness, low malt, solid medium body. The coffee is very astringent and heavily roasted. This does not blend well with the lightness of the base beer. I found it fairly off putting and didnt even finish my taster. A lighter roast smoother coffee would go well, or this coffee with a maltier bigger beer; but this combo doesnt do it for me at all

Pours a full-on hazy orange with a finger of fluffy white head.

Aroma is mostly Juicy Bits, with some lightly roasted coffee in the background. Get juicy naval orange, tangerine, light blueberry, candied grapefruit, pineapple, mango, pine, and herbaceous dankness. Quite juicy despite the subtle coffee.

Taste is much like the aroma. The beer is Juicy Bits through and through, but there's just a subtle touch of coffee in the background. The coffee seems to be quite fruity as well, complementing the fruity, juicy hops. Lots of juicy, overly-ripe naval orange, tangerine, pineapple, mango, peach, lemon, and some dankness. The subtle coffee comes through in the middle and slightly lingers into the finish.

High medium body. Smooth, creamy, and soft.

I'm admittedly not a big fan of coffee IPA's, but this one works for me. It's an IPA first, with all of it's Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe juicy goodness. The lightly roasted coffee just adds another depth of flavor that complements the hops. These guys continue to kill it.
