Zero_Bits is an experimental New England-style IPA brewed with no hops in the hot-side (none in the kettle nor whirlpool) to produce a /quote Zero IBU IPA /endquote. Using the exact same recipe and hop quantities as Juicy Bits, we shifted the whirlpool hop additions entirely to the fermenter at knock out, then followed the rest of the dry hop schedule for Juicy Bits. Zero_Bits was brewed specifically for a seminar we are presenting at Big Beers, along with our friends at New Belgium, Outer Range and Cerebral, in order to better understand the impact that dry hopping has on bitterness and to demonstrate the potential innacuracies of IBU testing
