Achromatic - Coconut

All the beers in our Achromatic series start with the same base beer, brewed with an obscene amount of chocolate malts (over 150 lbs), oatmeal and crystal malts to lend a sweet, caramel malt backbone and smooth, creamy mouthfeel. We add a moderate dose of hops to help balance the malt sweetness and we ferment with a clean, attenuative yeast strain to keep the focus on the malts and special ingredients. For Coconut Achromatic, we added over 6 lbs of organic raw coconut and coconut milk which add a tantalizingly fresh coconut flavor and aroma to the rich dark chocolate character of the stout. Put more simply, it’s a Mounds bar in a glass!
