Appearance: golden haze with a tint of orange-brown. The beer pours a 1-finger off-white head that fades quickly to a think but everpresent veil of microfine bubbles. This beer could sit indefinitely and not appear flat.

Aroma: apricot nectar (juice), light must and hops. Light sweet malt, which smells dry and bready.

Flavor: dry, crisp hops followed by light apricot – much lighter than expected from the nose. Much less “juicy” than Juicy Bits.

Mouthfeel: light-medium. You could drink more than 1 of these. The body corresponds well to its 7.3% abv.

Overall: this is a very good beer, but it isn’t “damn!” I try to avoid comparing beers to other breweries’ like styles, so I’ll keep the comparison internal. Juicy Bits is superior. This beer is excellent nonetheless, and I’d buy this again if readily available. This is probably near the top end of readily available IPAs. This beer is best compared to an Alpha Bits-Juicy Bits hybrid.

16 oz. Can
Canned On: 05/16/18

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy golden orange color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, peach, mango, apricot), nice little diesel like. The taste is really nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, peach, mango, apricot), nice little diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very well, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty brew. Orange Julius! Addictive! Glad to have gotten a chance to try it.

From a 16 oz can to a tulip. Tasted multiple cans.

A-The beer is typically unattractive but it fits for the hazy NE style. A rusty hued, light-orange colored beer sits beneath about a finger and a half of off-white head. The foam fades steadily leaving a few chunks of lace and film on top. No carbonation is visible.

S-The aroma is surprisingly heavy on the earthy, simcoe notes. I am picking up onion and garlic here, which is odd for a WeldWerks beer. Orange/citrus flavor is also obvious and after a few sips and a few more sniffs, I pick up some mango fruit too. Bitterness is light and the beer smells pretty dry with just a hint of sugary, fruity sweetness.

T-The taste is less earthy and I am not noticing the onion/garlic nearly as much. More orange and mango here. A fruity, dry bitterness combines with a little hop and alcohol burn on the finish. Somewhat juicy, but certainly not in the category as most other hazy IPAs I have tried.

M-Feel is soft and medium in heft. Carbonation is very mild and smooth.

O-An interesting beer. I normally am not that sensitive to onion-forward hops, but this beer piqued my senses more than most. If you are looking for a hazy IPA with a little something different, this might be a good option.

Looks nice and juice like, particularly orange or grapefruit juice. Fluffy head breaks quickly, some decent lacing.

Smell is just like taking a sniff of oj in the morning. Citrusy and a bit of a hops finish.

Taste follows the nose. The citrus is followed by a nice hops bitterness that blends nicely.

Feel is soft with medium low carbonation. Dry finish.

Wow, a great beer. I've never heard of this brewer and it is rare in these parts...but I'd love to try more
