this is really good, i have to accept that some of this weldwerks hype is deserved at this point, and as much as dessert stouts and hazy ipa types arent what turns me on, they are doing them as well as anyone. this is up there with the best of the bits beers so far, done with scofflaw, who has also really impressed me in limited exposure. this is very pale but also ver dense looking, cloudy and pure white headed with a strong aroma of ripe kiwi fruit, lime, honeydew melon, grapefruit, and appears to definitely be mosaic driven with that vegetal thing and some pineapple notes, all of which come through perfectly in the flavor from the aroma. mosaic and a few others, hard to tell, really well integrated and extremely fruity to me, not at all sweet and interestingly not real oily or heavy either, it drinks pretty light for what this is and isnt as distractingly over hopped as so many of them are. the malt base is just a little more interesting than it usually is in these, bready in a dry sort of way, perfect for the hops. subtle orange juice from concentrate and even raw coconut come in from the hops too. a little lighter on the carbonation than i want it to be, but the texture is still right on. another hazy ipa, these are taking over the world right now, no doubt about it, but this one stays appealing to me, even enough so to have a second pour of it. rare for me in this style. i liked this a lot and i cant believe its as strong as it is!

Appearance: Arrives golden colored with a slight haze; the cap is sturdy and provides some streaky lace
Smell: Pineapple and peach with citrusy overtones
Taste: Tropical sweet tones forward, with the pineapple dominant; through the middle a citrusy bitterness builds, leading to a rather dry finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A nice commingling of juicy elements of today's IPAs with the bitterness from days gone by
