an active and fresh fruited gose here, saltier than most, which i appreciate. i like how bold this is there, and also how forward the grapefruit is, it stays summery and fairly drinkable, but has a lot more depth than many of these do. very active from the can, i like the tart and bitter grapefruit hitting my nostrils through the tall white head. it smells intense, lots of minerals, clean lactic pucker, and quite a bit of white wheat. its simple, but its also well layered in the flavor, with the grapefruit almost so strong that it takes over the other elements, but it fades fast at the end, flashy and almost sour for a moment before it turns pithy and zesty and bitter, very fresh and natural to me. the salt brings out its best, like actually salting the fresh slices fruit, yum! good job on the sourness too, better here than i recall it being in other weldwerks beers like this. carbonation is high and keeps this feeling summery, light medium body is just right for the flavors, and this is a sour beer i could have plenty of in a given session. nicely done.
