Appearance: lupulin-yellow with an offh-white ½-finger head that fades quickly to a collar. Totally opaque from haze.
Aroma: orange zest, pineapple and earth tones. Juicy. The nose indicates this beer will be on the sweeter side. The aroma is much better drinking from the can than a glass (tulip).
Flavor: earthy with hay notes. Really none of the sweet malt flavors from the nose come through in the flavor.
Mouthfeel: nice. Quite drinkable @ 8.5% abv.
Overall: IMO most collaboration beers result in a final product whose quality is less than each brewery’s average offering, but this is a solid beer. Well done. A repeat purchase.
