Happy 5th anniversary to our friends at Mostra Coffee! For this special anniversary variant, we started by aging our 36 hour-boiled Imperial Stout in a Woodford Reserve bourbon barrel for 12 months. After the initial round of aging was complete, we racked this specific barrel of Medianoche into a second fresh-emptied Woodford Reserve bourbon barrel and aged it for an additional 6 months. After more than 18 months of aging in two different Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels, this one-off Medianoche variant was finished on 5 lbs of Rwandan coffee custom-roasted for us by the fine folks at Mostra Coffee.
