16 fl oz pull-tab can nabbed at Weldwerks (Greeley).
"Kettle-soured wheat ale" "brewed with thousands of pounds of pineapple, orange + banana puree." 5.2% ABV.
Pours a sludgy brown that looks like Odwalla juice left out in the heat for a few days...its appearance is downright awful. Has an off-white head and appears well carbonated, but it looks like a crappy health shake or something; this is the worst appearance in a beer I've encountered in a long time.
Aroma shrieks banana from the high heavens. Pineapple puree, pulp. Again, a nasty health food shake comes to mind. I'm hoping this tastes better than it looks or smells...
Green banana, papaya, fruit puree, Odwalla juice...this doesn't taste like a beer, and I don't mean that as a compliment. I taste no malt, hops, or yeast. Tastes like an alcopop for the megachain gym-goer.
The pineapple in particular is pretty repugnant.
Thick, sludgy, pulpy, and heavy on the palate, resembling a meal in a glass or a fruity meal replacement shake.
Not bad tasting in terms of beverages broadly, but as a beer it's just not really what I'd ever crave, and up against cleaner drinking less fruit sludge-emphatic sour wheat ales, it's by and large a failure, drinking almost like a liquid parody of craft beer trends. Years ago, I thought Colt 45 Pile Driver was as close to alcoholic Sunny Delight as beer would ever go; now, I'm not so sure, and what's worse is people seem to actually want these fruit pulp Odwalla ale juice concentrate sludgebombs...

16oz can at share. Orange juice pure and simple. Big juicy notes throughout, almost pulpy. Thick and full, sweet, goes down like a champ. This would be great with breakfast .
