2021 release notes:
13.2% ABV
Collaboration with Other Half Brewing Co., The Veil Brewing Co., Side Project Brewing
Each of the 4 breweries custom-blended a base barrel-aged stouts using threads from each of the other breweries, then also created their own adjuncted version, meaning there are a total of 8x different Bubble Wraps to find an enjoy - 4 non-adjunct versions and 4 versions with adjuncts. Now to the stats:
Both of these Imperial Stouts started as an equal blend of hand-selected barrels from each brewery, ranging in age from 12-37 months. With the unique approach to brewing and barrel aging employed by each of the four breweries, along with an all star cast of casks featuring Weller, Old Fitzgerald, Blanton's and Rittenhouse Rye barrels, the final blend culminates into a rich, complex, flavorful and truly special Barrel Aged Imperial Stout that cannot be replicated nor recreated.
Our blend of the regular Bubble Wrap is the unadulterated expression of all those distinct casks, with notes of malted milk chocolate, caramel sundae syrup, cocoa dusted almonds and sticky toffee pudding.

500 mL bottle. Inky black, but not like Medianoche inky and thick. Smells of heavily roasted malts, oak, tingly alcohol, light sweetness. Tastes sweet up front with chocolate and sweet maltiness. Alcohol cuts the sugar. Heavy bourbon and oak. Finishes boozy and a little sharp. It's good.

A nice non-adjunct expression that has had good development. Whoppers & prune, & stewed fruits on the nose. Palate brings a touch of char, caramel candy, & baking chocolate. Silky smooth, with good boozy heat and great length.
