16 fl oz pull-tab can:
Tripel. 8.9% ABV. Brewed with Belgian candi sugar and clover honey.
Spicy Belgian yeast. Cloves. Syrupy Belgian malt extract. 2-row.
Clover honey and candi sugar are both present and unnecessary...this beer's too sweet but it's also fairly boozy. In any case, it's imbalanced and both ingredients tug it in the wrong direction.
A decent stab at a tripel, but not one I'd buy over Belgian expressions of the style - or one from Ommegang, Boulevard, Allagash or any other American brewery that knows what they're doing with Belgian style beers.
Boozy enough it takes a good while just to get through a can. The 16 fl oz can was a poor choice of format for an 8.9% tripel, and seems poorly considered.
