16 oz. Can
SALT
Canned On: 01/29/25

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice dark brown color, with some pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus tan head, with a pretty nice medium-size island, and some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, malty, hoppy, with a pretty nice touch of chocolate/toffee/caramel, brownie, vanilla, licorice. The taste is pretty nice, malty, hoppy, with a pretty nice touch of chocolate/toffee/caramel, brownie, vanilla, licorice, with a pretty nice sweetness. Medium Body, ABV is hidden very nicely, with a slight dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty beer.

Ever since I had a “Junie” from Transient, I’ve been more willing to try beer with salted caramel in them.
This one poured viscous and its light brown, one finger head dissipated very quickly. The color is stout black, maybe even darker.
The taste is as advertised- I get the caramel first and the brownie second. The salt is extremely faint, more of a dry sensation which is a little curious to me.
The feel is not nearly as viscous as the taste makes me think it would be, just a little viscosity which is okay.
OA, a good dessert stout that won’t wreck your day.

16oz can poured into a SA perfect pint glass

A- pours black in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that quickly reduces to a ring around the glass

S- initially smells like prunes, As it warms, the brownie batter comes through with a hint of caramel. Hint of vanilla

T- initial flavor of sweet caramel, quickly followed by a bold prune note that follows the nose. Mid-palate gives a chocolate note, with more prune taking over. The finish gives sweet caramel and chocolate that holds on into the linger

M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish

O- the brownie tasted too much like prune throughout, perhaps a bump in abv could have helped
