750 mL bottle. Clear orange. Smells of yogurt, oak, a little citrus. Tastes of oak, sweet citrus, some brandy. Oak lingers into the back end with some dried grass. Even a little oxidation. Just about flat. It also falls a little flat in flavor. I get the brandy barrel, which lends some sweetness, but not a whole lot else. Does not really live up to the hype. Still good.

A 750ml corked and capped bottle, 2018 vintage, bottled on 4th December 2018. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed Zenne glass.
Appearance: A lightly hazy golden colour, with a nice one finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly, while leaving only sparse lacing.
Aroma: Tart unripe yellow stone fruit, citrus zest, funky, musty, wood, brandy, butterscotch, with a minerally note.
Taste: Lightly sour and tart, lemon juice, green apple, grape skin, a touch vinous, a bit of berries, funky, woody, brandy, with caramel like notes.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, medium bodied, with soft carbonation.
Overall: This needed time to open up, and after an hour it definitely improved. Not my favourite among the 50°N-4°E variants, but still enjoyable.

Excited to try this one, had the Armagnac in early 2019 and the 2015 Cognac at the end of last year, Brandy time! Kind of still, was expecting a little more carb but that's ok. Kind of basement funky and cheesy, it was weird. Took awhile of it opening before I could pick up on any brandy notes, some sweetness in the aroma. Overall it was odd but I liked it. Better than 2015 cognac but not as good as 2017 Armagnac.

Bottle at the brewery 10/19
White head. Golden color.
Stronger than the Armagnac. Wood and oak. Sweetness from the brandy. Very complex. Perfume and floral notes. A blend of dried fruits. Apples, pears, grapes. Very enjoyable.

Huge brandy. Lots of wet oak. Wet basement. Grape and wine flavors. Low carb. Tannins. Faint fruit notes, maybe strawberry. Sort of dry. Finishes very wine like and some floral bitterness. Faint orange liquor.4.7
