A young brewer brews a pretty good Scotch Ale. And I'm glad they did because the Scots are proud and distinct and proud of that distinction. And Pilot Beer was started to keep all that going. They are young, but have a good-looking website and an unusually tasteful gastropub with an interesting menu. Keep up the good work, lads !
Scotch Export Looks only slightly above the average for this style. After a hard pour, foam went away quickly. Smells are mostly malt as they should be, but more character in the malt bill will help next release. Medium-mouthed for 4.6 ABV.
