Had this one at the 2018 Strange Brew Festival. It continues the trend of all fruited ipas and milkshake ipas being worse than the base versions. Its hazy and a dark yellow with 1/5" white head. Aroma barely touches pineapple, there are beers (Galaxy hopped) that do better conveying pineapple than this one does with actual (i hope) pineapple.
Rumor had it there was cilantro in it, but I could not taste it. The habanero aspect seemed to clash in an ipa, neither hops nor peppers really drew anything out here. The sweetness was not appreciated either.
Its a familiar story with fruited and milkshake ipas: The hops are muted, and the reasons you like an ipa aren't there. These styles of beer are made for people who don't like ipas, this one is no different. Also, the malt bill didn't seem to be using flaked wheat or oats, but I dunno what they were going for here.
