1st review of this beer on BA. Had this at the Strange Brew 2019 festival held on May 18, 2019. The first words in my notes are "melts your face". They had this tincture bullshit that also made the beer worse.
Pours a brown that is slightly darker than your average one, but since they're calling it an imperial, perhaps it has a greater quantity of maltiness to it giving it the darker edge. Small 1/6" tan head. Aroma was of bitters and peppers.
Taste, ooof, this is hot shit. The perceptible alcohol in combination with the heat make this one of those trick beers that is just there to do one thing, burn your face. Not impressed. Occasionally you come across those beers that just try to be HOT AF and don't do much else. This one brings excessive alcohol heat and bitterness to a lava like peppery edge. Comes off more like a beer you give to someone just to see the look on their face change as opposed to say "hey man, check this beer, out, its good/interesting." If you drank a lot of this, kiss your ass goodbye the next morning.
