love a good witbier and this is pretty solid, if a little understated, its lemony, estery, rather clean, subtle, drinkable, familiar. blonde but not incredibly light or anything, approaching golden, honey colored, short white head, large sized bubbles but not crazy effervescent. the nose on this is cooked pear, zested lemon, light vanilla, white pepper, coriander, white tea, and lemon balm, seems almost healthy to me, some mid palate sweetness isnt an issue, yeast forward but nowhere near phenolic. the flavor is some white wine to it up front, earthy spiciness, clean wheat malt, and just a little more body than allows it to be truly crushable, but i like that the wheat is as full character as it is. light lemongrass and tropicality in general, modest sweetness, i think it could finish drier than it does, and it has an orange note at the end as well. a little safe, but summery and sort of playful and it fits in well with the rest of their diverse lineup. this place is way cool, gorgeous building, solid service, great energy in here, and it was fun drinking through so many of their beers. this isnt lights out or anything, but it will appeal to fans of clean belgian types for sure. morning beer vibes to this one...
