12oz can canned 5/20/23 into a shaker pint glass.
L: Pours moderately cloudy light dirty apricot w a 1/2" soapy off white head that has OK retention and goes to a thick skin, good carbo, loose random lacing.
S: Caramelized malts, piney hops, fruity, light background dankness.
T: Slightly sharp bitter & gently earthy hops, citrus and citrus zest esp grapefruit, big enthusiastic pine resin, stone fruit, moderately full-flavored.
F: Lightly juicy med-bodied feel with a drying finish but not exceedingly so, gently sticky, almost gritty and a little bit plush.
O: "A taste that stays with you" could be a good slogan for this beautiful American IPA. It is very well crafted, hop forward and has a lip smacking satisfyingly bold taste with a very nice flow. It is excellent in its style.

From a growler filled at Voyageur’s Grand Marais taproom.
Deep amber color pours up a good sized head decent retention.
Smells citrus pith, slight pine, spicy aromatics.
Taste is assertively bitter with a spicy characteristic that works well with the citrus pith, pine and grass. Nice overall effect with a lingering bitterness that is nice.
Although Voyageur is the only game in town — I enjoyed this enough to fill two growlers in two nights.

Look: hazy (oh, no. here we go again) orange-amber, small head, minimal lacing. Aroma: passion fruit, mango, tangerine. Taste: juicy with no bitterness up front. Very Sweet. Minute Maid mango and orange juice. As it warms the sweetness becomes overpowering. Finish: there is a moderate bitterness here. It's nothing strong, but it is more to my liking.. However, as it warms the sweetness becomes more prominent which creates a huge mess with the moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel: velvety texture, very low carbonation for an IPA. Cloying as it warms. Comments: Alas, I remember fondly when every beer labeled IPA had a pronounced bitterness. I don't think this beer is meant to be a New England Style Ale (I will not call them IPAs), but it seems to be designed to appeal to drinkers of them. I can't see those drinkers liking this beer, because it does have some bitterness in the finish. I also can't see a true IPA fan, like myself, liking it either do to its strong sweetness. Who is this beer for?

L: brilliant copper pour produces a 1" cream to light tan cap with fair retention and moderate lace.
S: Initial rich malt aromas lead to light fruit and citrus lightly laced with herbs and spice.
T: Fruit, mild peach, melon and slightly sweet tropical fruit start the flavors supported by biscuit and finishing with a mild to moderately assertive herbal bitter hop finish.
F: creamy, medium body with medium soft carbonation, finishing crisp and clean
O: a nicely done beer with clean, layered flavors that lead up to an assertive bitterness with an almost elixir like quality that grows and stays with you for half an hour

This beer gets a lot of hate. Honestly don't know why. It's a solid IPA. Strong pine notes hit you right away, not much head on this one but that doesn't take away from the flavor. It's not the best IPA ever but it's far from the worst. Give it a try and ignore the reviews from people who either got skunked bottles or a bad experience from their tap room.

Hazy glowing orange body capped with a tight white head. Carbonation streams to the top. Hope this isn't overly charged. Aroma is like mold and mildew....you could say dank, but not in a good way. Also a little sweet. No signs of IPA aromas at all. Flavor is really kind of a mess for an IPA. Muddled and uninspiring. Hop characteristics really are absent....except for a lingering "off" kind of bitterness. That's all I'll say. This to me just isn't a good beer or even an average beer.

Poured this ale aggressively and it produced a half inch of foamy head above this light golden amber ale.
Smells that come to me are banana peals (but very subtle so not as horrible as one might might think).
The taste is a bit chaotic... there is allot going one here... too much maybe. I don't like the sensation i get of this beer being almost waxy upon the teeth. Needless to say I didn't hate this beer... but I would not say i cared all that much for it either.

This beer pours an amberish color. The head was minimal when poured from the bottle, but there is nice carbonation in the glass. The nose is piney, and citrusy. The taste is fairly mellow at first. The notes of the IPA hit on the way down. Pine, citrus. Bitterness. It feels fairly well bodied for an IPA. Delicious, and I'd gladly get more.

L-Deep oak colored....nice clarity
S-Interesting aromatics. I'd describe it as overripe tropical fruits. Papaya and Mango and definitely pineapple. Toasted malts...
T-Balanced flavor...toasted toffee like malt flavor actually overrides the hops a little. There are hints of those tropical fruit flavors but the malt quells is for the most part.
F-Medium body...carbonation is fine...a little spicy finish..
O-I just saw this arrive in bottles for the first time and had no idea what I was getting myself into as I had never been up to their place before. Overall, I'm pleased. Nothing terrible or off and really a decent tasting, somewhat unique flavored IPA.

Pours a clear golden color with a 1 finger white head. Smell is pine resin and citrus. Taste has a pine forward taste with a bitter finish that is soften by some caramel malts. Mouth was crisp, sharp and hoppy with lingering bitterness, this is a well made IPA , not the style i like very pine forward.
