This one pours a fairly dark brown-ish black color, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like pumpernickel and dark breadiness, smoke, dark chocolate, and roasted malt.

This is called a Munich-style Roggen Schwarzbier, I guess - so that means it probably has rye right? There's a bit of spice and roast, with a nice chocolatey backbone. It gives the impression of liquid bread - pumpernickel specifically.

This is light bodied, and I'd probably want a bit more creaminess. It's still quite drinkable, with a very smooth finish.

This is obviously right in the wheelhouse for this brewery, and it's a solid little take on the style.

A: The beer is very close to being jet black in color - only traces of dark brownish red are visible near the bottom of the glass. It poured with a narrow collar of off white bubbles around the edge of the glass and some small specks of bubbles on the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of nutty malts and coffee beans are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of nutty malts along with notes of coffee beans. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought this was a good representation of a German Schwarzbier as it had a lot of malty flavors but was very easy to drink.
