Visited at opening (3 PM) on a Tuesday. Staff was BSing with each other. Cool building, smelled of brewing which always melts my heart. Staff was friendly and silly and seemed to know what they were talking about.
I had visited on a recommendation to try their lagers, but they didn't have any at all available (due to a "production lull"), which is a shame. They had about 8 beers on tap. I drank a wit (which was pretty good, though not my style) and a berlinerweisse (which was probably good for the style but the kettle sour flavor was too strong for me) and an IPA (which was pretty good). I also got a sample of a doppelbock they collaborated on with Threes which is not available yet (also pretty good).
All told, good visit, wish they'd had more beers that I actually wanted to try.

This is a smaller, friendly , neighborhood, low key and unpretentious boutique of a place....fine beers of many styles, friendly and grown up kind of staff, no food, but feel free to bring it in. Nice spot for a mellow beer and good conversation kinda place, no TVs and no hype....we enjoyed a tasty saison, pilsner and coffee infused stout. Quality spot, well worth checking out.

Visited on a Sunday night, around 10pm. Almost no one there.
I had just walked over from the Other Half. The vibe at this place is what I wished Other Half had. Big, bright enough, great classic rock playing. A small bar, but lots of table space with high warehouse ceilings. This place looks like a row house from the street. I walked past it the first time. 4.0
A relatively small number of beers available but each was tasty and the variety was good (e.g. not just IPAs). 4.5 & 4.0
Service was great, but of course there were three of us in the place. 4.0

this was a must stop for us while in new york, but its reputation got out in front of it a little bit. the beers in here were all fantastic, well crafted and professionally executed, no denying the objective quality, but not a one of them really jumped out at me as overly original, ambitious, or different. i liked the grisette a lot, the hoppy blonde/pale called morning dew was excellent, as were a few fruited sours and the big stout, but this all seemed so simple, so been there done that, even if the quality was higher than most out there, the beers themselves didnt have the kind of bold personalities and memorable qualities i was expecting. that said, it was all really awesome, and the place is cool too, super minimalist furnishings gives it a rustic vibe that fits the beer well, low light, relaxed crowd in the evening, humble really, even rural feeling in the big city. they had a small but diverse selection, we may have even tried them all, not a stinker in the bunch, and a few in the exceptional range. service was just fine, we came in about an hour until they closed, but were not greeted warmly, and the dude seems really disinterested. maybe just shy, but why be behind the bar then? i dont know, it was a little awkward, but that was about it. i would definitely recommend this place if you want somewhere chill to drink some well crafted beers. it didnt blow my mind like i thought it would, but i left more than happy with our experience here.

Cool little space set up in an old garage in Carroll Gardens. Small bar area near the entrance, with larger tables located towards the back. It was busy on a Saturday afternoon in June but we were easily able to find seating in the back for four adults and three kids. Eight beers on tap with an interesting range of styles from Munich Helles to peach sour to NEIPA to witbier to biere de garde. Most beers were available in 10 or 14 oz pours. I had the OBL (their Helles) which was good. Unfortunately, it was so hot inside we had to leave after one beer. I don't know if their air conditioning was not turned on or if they even have it at all, but it wasn't a good situation. We decided to purchase two four-packs and hit the road. I would go back but would like to see more German options on tap.

I'm going to be totally honest. I had over done it at Other Half brewing before I stopped by this nice little Brooklyn spot. You can walk between the two, even in December, which saves you around $500 bucks in cab fare. I was the first person in the place and the bartender was pretty nice. I thought New Yorkers were rude. Not this guy. I had a few beers, I think they were pretty good. I'd stop by here first next time.

Small but really nice place in Brooklyn. Was looking for a quiet place to relax with a good beer and this place was perfect. Wasn't overly crowded on a Friday (that's not always a good thing) and I was able to just sit and enjoy a few beers without it being too loud. Had 3 beers and they all were nice with a apricot-peach Berliner being wonderful.

This place is well worth a visit. Tucked in on a quiet residential block, in what looks to be an old garage, these guys are turning out some good beer in a relaxing place. The selection is a little slim, but it rotates often and is usually pretty interesting. Decent food in the form of bar snacks, as well (good beer cheese dip). The space itself is spacious and comfortable and only occasionally feels crowded. Bring your own growler and they'll do fills. I'm happy this is only a few blocks from my place.
