a series of fruited berliner types, very interesting as the style goes even without the fruit, and just delicious with it factored in. they also had a plum one on when we were in, but i liked this one better, the fruit stood out more to me, very ripe, distinctive, and rightly tart without being over the top acidic, i could have had a few of these. the sourness is clean, flavorful though too, with some lemony notes and an almost saison type of fermentation profile to it rather than a flavorless ale one, which i really like, especially with these ripe summery nectarines, juicy and sweet, but well incorporated into the beer. the wheat malt is bold here, a little fuller and more flavorful than it often is in the style, and i think thats a nice touch, the body helps the fruit rise to the forefront, and the whole thing seems supremely fresh and expertly built. quite a bit more depth of flavor than i have gotten used to in the style, which is rad, and the fruit is real and easily identifiable as nectarine, which is a tough task to accomplish. overall a really enjoyable drink, more carbonation would help it, but id go back for this one!
