Citra, the name just screams fresh fruit from your neighbor's backyard. Maybe it's grapefruit? Or perhaps they have one of those mandarin orange trees. Of course, you might be thinking fresh squeezed lemonade. Any way you slice it, aloha means hello and goodbye. So Aloha Citra...

Pours a clear amber with a big foam in the Pilsner glass. It settles down to a long-lasting creamy, sticky head. Definitely a sweet grapefruit taste. And even a little overripe and then there's the spoiled pineapple. Aromatics are over the top with peach liqueur and fresh squeezed grapefruit..
Hot with alcohol. Quite bitter with the sweet grapefruit ending with the pith. It's just hugely hopped, which I guess is the point with this brewery. It's an interesting sip but just for a short one before the welcome wears off. Where's my water back? From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Trader Joes.

Golden with lots of white floaters, moderate to low carbonation and 4 fingers of off white head.
Smells of skunk, catnip, citrus and pineapple.
Tastes of dank leaf, catnip, and pineapple lifesaver. There is an alcohol presence as well.
Medium to thick, glassy body with low carbonation.
Got this at Trader Joe's in Redding, drinking it here Dec 11th, 2018.

Picked this up at Trader Joe’s, seeing it for the first time. Generally have been a fan of The Hop Concept and this one sounded interesting. Bottle description read, “Citra, the name just screams fresh fruit from your neighbor's backyard. Maybe it's grapefruit? Or perhaps they have one of those mandarin orange trees. Of course, you might be thinking fresh squeezed lemonade. Any way you slice it, aloha means hello and goodbye. So aloha Citra.”
Poured a gold-to-light amber semi-hazy color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky white head. Lots of fast moving bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class layered foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled Citra, woody pine, lime, citrus zest, lemon, Irish Spring soap, mandarin, grapefruit and green leaf. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste was slightly better than the nose overall. Got Citra, woody pine, resin, pepper, lime, citrus zest, mandarin, grapefruit, green leaf, tangerine rind and caramel malt. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy-to-sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long bitter finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Liked this about as much as I thought I was going to. Outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)
