The "Olli"
Grand Teton Brewing
American Lager
ABV: 5.1%

When I saw this beer, I got giddy. I am glad breweries are brewing more lager today. Not sure what an heirloom lager is. Using a pint glass to serve the beer. The pour created a frothy one-fingered white head. A fast dissipation left no lacing on the glass. The color charts around SRM 3, a pale straw. The clarity is clear with loads of carbonation. The appearance is accurate for this style.
Sweet corn and lightly toasted malts are the dominant aromas. Nosing the glass a few more times, I detect hints of floral and a touch of herbal.
The flavors are corn, lightly toasted malts, herbal, a hint of grass and cereal grains, and light malty/corn sweetness. The flavors are similar to BMC beers; however, the flavors are far superior.
The mouthfeel is crisp and finishes clean. The body is light and has high carbonation.
I did not see a cloudy beer; not sure what they meant by unfiltered. The beer is tasty and flavorful. I enjoyed sipping on it.

Draft at the brewery

Big foamy head with moderate retention, light lacing, crystal clear pale pilsner color

Nose light sweet grainy malt, lager malt with touch of straw, a bit of sweet corn, light herbal hop

Taste rich lager malt and a little pilsner with fair corn DMS, some malt sweetness, light hop bitterness with a touch of herbal hop flavor, semi sweet finish and a little sticky, flat finish

Mouth is med bod, medium to lighter carb, little sticky

Overall not bad for what they were going for, the American lager, but not quite there
