Why have one can, when you can have Twocans? Introducing a light-tasting, hazy, juicy, citrusy, tropical Pale Ale as colourful as a toucan's feathers. Made with a wildly vibrant blend of hops – El Dorado, Citra and Mosaic. Consider adding two or more to your shopping cart as they enjoy company.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, from the University Ave. West LCBO in nearby downtown Windsor. My first beer from the Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario brewery.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated May 2 2024 and served slightly chilled. This is the 200th American pale ale I've reviewed on BA - cheers to 200 more!
Pours hazy and turbid, its pale yellow-coloured body crowned with two fingers of fluffy, foamy, sparkling white head. It seeps away at a casual pace; a little more than five minutes later, it has been worn down to a wide, frothy collar and thin cap. Good lace deposition, too - looks fine to me. The aroma is fruity, citrusy & floral - hints of wheaty, bready malts and oats underlie notes of pineapple, orange, lemon and melon.
It's pretty tasty, but not at all novel. I'm getting a mix of pineapple, passion fruit and orange, with lesser notes of grapefruit, melon and mango coming forth as well. Pithy on the back end, with grassy hops and floral bitterness fading into a citrusy, mildly acidic aftertaste that fades to off-dry rather swiftly. Medium-light in body, with crisp carbonation that lends a firm bite to this brew's smooth, soft mouthfeel. Good drinkability, but two cans would be my max before I'd want to move on to something else.
Final Grade: 3.79, a B+. Muddy York's TwoCan probably won't be winning any awards, but I enjoyed my glass and would consider buying it again in the future. I guess my main complaint is that the malt presence is kinda weak - then again, that seems to be the norm for hazy pale ales, so I suppose that's more of a personal gripe vs. a problem with the beer itself. I also don't think it's a particularly unique or memorable brew - I mean, there's nothing wrong with it, but I can guarantee you I'll have forgotten about this beer within a few weeks. Still worth trying once if you have an interest in hazy pales.
