12 oz can from Chuck (27/08/2017) poured into a mug. 4.9% abv 20 ibu.
A- Golden-straw body has a lot gut haze and plenty of carbonation. The head is 1-1/2 fingers from a normal pour. It settles to a 1/4 finger and leaves light spots on the glass.
S- No doubt it’s a watermelon beer. I’d saw jolly rancher, but it actually seems pretty natural. Some wheaty sweetness and light, grassy hops. Very summer-like.
T- Not half bad. Lots of watermelon, but it doesn’t lose the beer presence. Some sweet, husky malts. Very light hop presence.
M- Medium-light body. Moderate-heavy carbonation. Pretty crisp.
O- My expectations were quite low on this one, and they were greatly exceeded. Not a world beater, but a drinkable summer brew.

Poured into a Weizen glass. A crystal clear medium gold color with a one-finger head despite a vigorous pour. Not much head retention. Pleasant watermelon aroma with some bread and dough. Big watermelon taste up front - like biting into a melon - even with the vegetal watermelon aftertaste. Not sweet. There is a wheat presence but it takes a backseat to the fruit. A hint of bitterness with some orange. Nice dry finish. Medium-carbed and definitely refreshing on a hot day.
