I tried this at the location near Vanderbilt. It poured an opaque dark with thick tan head that left some lace. The scent had nice earth, roast and bourbon notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with peat and bourbon presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with smooth carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Pours black only mild highlights around edge when held to the light. Nice fluffy coco colored head falls of so slow and laces well. I nice looking big stout anyway.

Aroma is roasted malts some nice chocolate notes underneath adding sweetness for the IBU's listed hops don't do much but keep nose from being overly sweet some .

Taste is roasted malts good chocolate notes, now the hops are more noticeable in the flavor. Defiantly enough to keep this big beer from being cloying. Some grapefruit rind bitterness that almost comes off as coffee beans due to the amount of roasted malts in this one. Not as big and chewy or complex as most big stouts if not for the can noting 10% I would of guessed lower.

Mouthfeel is nice and smooth but it is not creamy again seems lighter then it should be.

Overall not bad flavors but just not as awe inspiring as some big stouts tend to be or as complex. But defiantly worth a try.

Poured from a 2-week old can into a snifter. Nice-looking beer. A viscous cola brown color into the glass, producing an opaque color with a two-finger, frothy tan head. The foam slowly settled but never left completely. Roasty and floral notes on the nose. Also some citrus and dark bread. Roasted malt on the palate, with citrusy hops - grapefruit primarily. Subtle chocolate on the late palate. Remarkably clean and easy drinking for the size of the beer. It reminds me of a big black IPA with the hoppy flavors. Enjoyable nonetheless.
