Interesting beer. An IPA fermented with Hefeweizen yeast, presumaby for the fruity notes. Hopped with Azacca and Mosaic. Mission accomplished, as it smells like a fruity hefe: ripe banana, tropical fruit, and oranges. The look was a very hazy amber-orange with a large white head. Honestly the banana dominated the nose. The Hefe esters showed up first on the palate but quickly gave way to tropical fruit, berries, and citrus. There was a soft but big bitterness present that reminded me that this was indeed an IPA. A soft feel and clean finish. Interesting, but the Hefe and IPA elements seemed separate and did not meld together.
