Pours a say a light black some brown hue around the edges visible with out holding it up to the light. Head is thumb sized khaki colored falls to a ring with descent lace.

Aroma is sweet lactose right off the bat light roasted notes light coffee and chocolate mingle with free floating sugars. Nice spicy vanilla, cloves, light cinnamon and allspice. Nice smelling brew could almost be a latte.

Taste is similar to the nose, sweet roasted goodness but not quite as sweet as it smelled. Light coffee notes good chocolate notes smooth and favorable. Good spice in the finish vanilla, nutmeg, allspice hints of cinnamon. Seems more pumpkin spice then pumpkin but that is fine by me.

Mouthfeel is nice and creamy but on the lighter side with about medium carbonation level.

Overall not a bad little milk stout with some good spice kick. Would have this again next fall or even on thru the winter if its still around.

a really cool beer, a pumpkin spiced coffee stout with milk sugar and a lot going on. notes of cinnamon and clove and other fall spices along with real squash, cardamom, vanilla, maple, brown sugar, this basically hits all the notes, and its canned up in a real drinkable beer, not too strong, rich, sweet, or intense, but there is a whole lot going on, a wonderful fall drinker and a nice introduction to this brewery. there is a great brewed coffee element to this, roasty and cocoa heavy, robust and nice with the dark malts in here, which create more of a warming wintery cold night vibe than they do a bitter and strongly roasted one. medium bodied and gentle, nice for the coffee, tons of spice too, anise notes, cardamom again, allspice, vanilla, dark chocolate, and maybe cinnamon. its light for how much flavor is here, but i can drink it fine because its all resolved by the end. this is probably a better beer than it will ever get credit for being, the coffee highlighting the spices and the other way around too. bold but i could have a few. really good, the essence of fall. sometimes you just want to vacuum the carpet and hang out at home by yourself and drink ale, this made me want that...
