I got a can of this beer from the brewery while visiting there sometime ago. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had faint citrus peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt fruit forward and a slight bitter citrus finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

Thanks goes out to Buck89 for this brew.

16 oz. Can

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy dark orangy color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach), with some diesel like. The taste is really nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach), nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a very tasty brew, Addictive! TailGate does a nice take on the NE Style IPA/DIPA. Thanks John!

According to the can, this is a Northeast style DIPA brewed with El Dorado, Simcoe, and Citra hops. Poured into a snifter. Somewhat hazy but nowhere near the turbid OJ look of many NEIPAs. Golden color with a frothy off-white head. Nice fruity aroma right out of the can on the pour with watermelon, oranges, pineapple, mango, and some pine. The taste was a bit different with a slight lemony flavor at first which yielded to pineapple and mango. Some earthy pine/resin which balanced it out. A soft feel with fairly soft bitterness. The ABV was hidden well and this felt medium-bodied but not boozy at all. Very nice.
