Only my second Hawkers in two days and I'm starting to like them. This APA is probably in its second or third release and is learning fast what a lot of American micros also should learn fast.
XPA Looks slightly above average, a decent foam but it fades fast. Smells are likewise rated as there is only sweet malt and only a hint of hops to finish my snort. However, Tastes are quite well done: just enough hops to balance the sweet and they only become prominent in the last part of the finish. Medium-mouthed, also soft in a raspy style. Recommended if you can find it.

Poured from a 375ml can into a tulip. Best before date 13/12/2019
Look: Pours a bright golden amber with about an inch of fluffy white head. head subsides to about 1 cm, leaving a fair bit of lacing down the glass. Looks pretty good.
Smell: First thing i get is a biscuit/caramel malt. There's a touch of stonefruit and citrus in the smell as well, but the hop character seems a little gentle.
Taste: A bit more hop variance on the flavour, still quite fruity, with the stone fruit and citrus, but there is also a bit of earthiness and pine towards the end. Caramely malts. Finishes with a well rounded bitterness.
Feel: light to mid bodied, zesty carbonation. Good length on the bitterness.
Overall: Well rounded beer, nice hop character and a solid malt backbone.
