Golden yellow appearance and minimal head but with some lace. Smell is sweet with malty hops.

Taste is slightly sweet with a hint of corn and cooked vegetable, nothing powerfull though. Does have a clean refreshing taste. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Aftertaste is bitter with a lingering maltiness.

Overall, a fairly light beer, but inoffensive and enjoyable. I can see this as a good patio beer. Worth a try.

16oz glass at the Oliver YEG location, at the kick-off for their awesome happy hour. Contract brewed by Big Rock exclusively for the Original Joe's restaurant chain.

This beer appears a clear, medium golden yellow colour, with one anemic finger of weakly foamy, yet densely soapy bone-white head, which leaves a low mountain range profile of lace around the glass as it duly settles.

It smells of faint grainy and crackery malt, ethereal pome and domestic citrus fruity notes, and some very plain weedy and dead floral green hop bitters. The taste is sweet grainy, cereal -forward, and sourdough-like malt, a touch of Euro gasohol, some musty generic fruitiness, and more understated grassy, weedy, and musky floral verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is moderate in its palate-assuring frothiness, the body light in weight, but not exactly thin, and perhaps a tad prickly. It finishes fairly dry, with an herbal bitterness lingering alongside the stoic backbone malt.

Overall, for a mid-afternoon, beat the sweet spot happy hour rush pint, this was agreeable enough, though a bit more crispness wouldn't have hurt, for this, or a lager of any sort. I gotta say, this seems a whole heck of a lot less dumbed down than usual, for this brewing concern.

On tap at Original Joe's, Macleod Trail. Can't complain about Happy hour prices.
This beer is a clear golden color, dense white head. Average retention, fades quickly, minimal lace.
It smells of some grains, a bit sour, and earthy hops.
The taste starts grainy and a bit sweet, ends with wet grass hops.
The carbonation, body and mouthfeel are medium.
Nothing wrong, just plain and safe.

This is a fairly nice, clean pale ale (lager) with a nice golden hue.

This beer does not have a substantial head, nor does it have an exceptional odour, but what this beer does have is a nice clean crisp fresh taste. It is mildly bitter with minimal malty flavours present.

I would find this to be a pleasent beer to enjoy on a warm summer day (if those actually occur in alberta...) and the nice mild flavours in the light lager style makes for a refreshing drink.
