From the 22 oz bottle in a snifter via Savor Growl. This mighty nice saison pours a
lightly cloudy amber tinged straw color with a nice head of white foam that settles to a
thick ring, thin pooling layer, and features light lacing. Nose of subtle banana esters from
the yeast, light cracker notes, and subtle clove notes with a touch of white pepper. Flavors
follow but exceed the nose by presentation with a white pepper and subtle herbal hop note
mingling with crackers and light lemon zest with subtle banana notes with mild honey touched
malts. Excellent mouth feel; medium high carbonation, medium body, and a lightly dry / subtly
tart finish.
Overall, this is a solid brew from a newer brewery at least to me and a darn good reason to stop
by the next time we head up the back way through Columbus on the way to Wooster.
Cheers
