Yep. That's dry alright. Downright dusty. Soft fruitiness, banana, maybe apricot. Reminds me some of their Auburn Ale. Slightly doughy nose. White wine. Interesting, tasty. Good for slow drinking so that you can take your time figuring out what's happening in the glass.

Citra like aroma and yeasty body that could have easily been more flavourful and with more body.on tap at summerhill lcbo. The base beer is OK. First brew a good tripel and then we can focus on hops.

341 mL bottle from one of their more recent mixed packs. Served at cellar temperature.

This is an effervescent one, and translucent gold in colour. A full inch of puffy, bright white-coloured froth initially floats atop the surface, but it lacks much longevity. Minimal lace is generated; looks alright. This bottle is at least 3 or 4 months old by now but the aroma is still loaded with dry-hopped loveliness. Banana and bubblegum are also big contributors, but notes of pineapple, citrus and white grapes really make the nose pop. Slightly grassy and floral too; liking this one so far.

Clean pale malt sweetness and hints of bubble gum are really more of a background presence - the fruity flavours from the yeast and dry hopping are what define this beer. Banana comes off prominently, along with notes of apricot, white grape. Suggestions of tropical fruit, but not more than that. Grapefruit rind and grassy bitterness come through as you near the finish, with a light yeasty spiciness rounding the profile out nicely. Dry aftertaste. Medium in body, with restrained carbonation levels for this style; the mouthfeel is resultantly smooth and a little slick. Just plain hard to dislike.

Final Grade: 4.08, an A-. Cameron's Dry-Hopped Tripel is an excellent Belgian hybrid ale - though I'd have to agree with an earlier reviewer's suggestion that this is more comparable to a Belgian IPA than a tripel. I figure that this bottle is at least 4 months old by now, but the dry-hoppage still packs a good punch, and all in all this is just a really enjoyable sipper. I would definitely rank this as one of Cameron's top 5 beers, and probably in the top 3, too... put this one out in bombers and I'll be back for more.

Slightly hazy golden colour, thumb of head, solid retention and sporadic lacing. Sweet citrus hops on the nose, hints of bubblegum, pineapple and banana. Much like the nose with the banana and fruity mango notes, solid citrus hop presence and a bitter citrus rind finish. Smooth and a touch of dryness. A solid brew and I really enjoyed this one. More along the lines of a Belgian IPA, but quite enjoyable.

341 ml bottle served at cellar temperature into a tulip. Purchased as part of the seasonal Brewmaster's pack.

Appearance - clear deep hued golden colored beer. A finger of white head rests on top and a smattering of lacing is left behind. Tons of effervescent bubbles cascade to the surface.

Smell - as advertised, banana, white wine and citrus combine for a unique aroma. Wine and citrus collide to form something with a ginger-esque aroma. Citrus is of lime and maybe some lemon. Interesting and quite appealing. Some dank characteristics too. Nose is quite complex.

Taste - starts a bit sweet, but then yeast and banana take over interspersed with white wine at least initially. Powdery banana dominates the back half with a little orange peel thrown in and some squeezed lime. Pretty yummy, but not as good as the nose since the predominant banana puts this on the sweet side.

Mouthfeel - light bodied with good carbonation and dry finish. Nice feel for the style.

Overall - a nice variation on a classic Belgian style. Dry hopping adds some complexity especially on the nose, but makes this a very enjoyable addition to the seasonal pack. Certainly worth a shot if you can find it, either in the 4 pack, or on its own.
