Pours an extremely dark brown with no head on top. Has a light roasted malt smell with notes of chocolate and sugar. Taste is watered down with roasted coffee.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From the University Ave. West LCBO in nearby downtown Windsor. Date stamp illegible. My 15th beer from the Oakville, Ontario brewery, and 3rd for 2026. Greatly appreciated by Gracie the cat...

Pours opaque black with a smallish tan head. Milk chocolate, coffee, roasted malts in the nose. The taste chocolate and roasted malt focused with espresso and dark fruit notes in there too. Herbal and citrusy hops in the back. The mouthfeel is full bodied with light carbonation. Light bitterness and lingering cocoa and roasty notes in the finish.
This is a nice chocolate stout with prominent but not overwhelming chocolate flavor. Worth a try, especially if you're a dark beer fan.

chocolate heavy, hits you. too much chocolate unbalanced to the detriment of the beer. It overpowers anything else going on in this beer. only thing going for it is the explosion of chocolate.

473ml can served very cold into an oversized wine glass. LCBO purchase.
Appearance - Beautiful near black in color with a finger of short-lived tan head. Small amount of curtain lacing.
Smell - Subdued chocolate notes, some roast.
Taste - Milk and dark chocolate, slight burnt toast, creamy milky quality as well. Not a lot of depth but the initial flavor is pretty good.
Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied, low carbonation and dense, near chewy finish.
Overall - Not milkshakey enough to be a milkshake beer but definitely leans towards a sweet stout with chocolate character.

473 mL can from the LCBO, included in Cameron's I ❤️ Craft Beer Vol 2 mixed pack. Coded Sep 19 2023 and served barely chilled. Billed as a chocolate milkshake stout, but there's no mention of lactose (or the usual milk allergen warning), so maybe not so much?
Pours an opaque black-brown with burgundy red highlights; one finger of soapy, brown-coloured head is situated atop, but seeps away within the next three minutes or so. A thin collar survives with a few wisps of film on the surface; a sinusoidal ring of lace adheres to the glass. Relatively muted aroma of milk chocolate, cocoa and raisins with an understated roasted quality.
It's not bad, tasting more or less like a typical sweet/milk stout. Flavours of milk chocolate, cocoa and chocolate syrup are apparent, with suggestions of floral, spicy hops cropping up on the back end. Subtle roasted malts and coffee bitterness at the finish, with milk chocolate lingering into a mildly sweet aftertaste. Medium in body, with low carbonation and a smooth, slick, somewhat generous mouthfeel that works well here. Good drinkability, but there's nothing about this stout that reaches out and grabs your attention.
Final Grade: 3.6, a B grade. Chockie Wockie is fun to say, but the stout itself honestly isn't anything worth writing home about. Let me be clear - there's nothing wrong with this beer, other than the fact that it didn't really remind me of a chocolate milkshake. Really, it's a boilerplate stout with slightly more of a milk chocolate flavour than I'd otherwise expect: fine to drink once, but not a novel brew and certainly nothing worth searching high and low for. Acceptable sampler pack filler.
