Can that's Past prime. More skunks as warms. A bit acidic in month. Old bitter hop flavour. Cameron sold them late. Quaffable but nothing to seek out.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, from their boxset at my favourite LCBO at The Roundhouse Centre in nearby Windsor. My fifth beer from the Oakville brewery.

473 mL can from the LCBO, included in Cameron's Smile Pack; coded Mar 20 2024 and served slightly chilled.

Pours a hazy pale golden colour, its body rife with countless flakes of sediment that lazily drift throughout the liquid. One finger of loose, soapy white head rises to the surface, fading within a couple of minutes' time; its remnants include a frothy collar surrounding a filmy cap, as well as some patchy lace scattered across the glass. The aroma is wheaty and spicy, including citrusy notes of lemon, lime and orange peel alongside hints of melon, white grape and pine.

Tasty, but also rather two-dimensional. You've got the crackery wheat, orange peel, coriander and Belgian yeast spiciness of a wit, as well as the citrusy, floral, slightly fruity flavours of an IPA - however, I found the IPA side of the equation to be underwhelming. Finishes with hints of melon, orange peel, stone fruit and pine needles, dissipating into a spicy aftertaste. Medium in body, with moderately lively carbonation that adds a little bit of crispness to this brew's smooth, soft mouthfeel. More refreshing than average for an IPA, with no sign of the 6.5%; good drinkability.

Final Grade: 3.67, a B+. On a scale from 'witbier' to 'IPA', White Tiger leans a little closer to the witbier side of the spectrum - though I also found that it had passing similarity to hopfenweisse (albeit a relatively thin & spicy one). While I generally liked this beer and think it'd work just fine as a hot weather quaffer, it did absolutely nothing to excite me, and I don't think it's good enough to be worth a permanent spot in the Cameron's portfolio. White IPAs are one of those hybrid styles that just never 'clicked' with me - I love a cold witbier in hot weather, and I also love IPAs, but it feels as if something is lost in the mix when you blend them together. Maybe that's just me.
