473 mL can from the LCBO; coded Feb 25 2026 and served barely chilled.
Pours a clear blonde colour, kicking up an inch of bubbly, sudsy white head that quickly deteriorates. A minute or two later, there's only a thin collar of froth remaining on the surface; some stringy lace is produced after each sip. Understated aroma with fruity shades of mango, stone fruit and citrus zest.
For a session IPA, this is very well-constructed. Subtle flavours of lime, lemon zest and not-quite-ripe mango, with kind of a peach-skin thing also going on; I like the fact that I am struggling to accurately describe these details. A grainy pale malt backbone provides some structural support; finishes with citrus peel & stone fruit, with a very light, grassy bitterness dissipating into a fairly dry aftertaste. Light in body, with moderately assertive carbonation; very tiny bubbles that briskly brush across the palate. Feels smooth, with fantastic drinkability.
Final Grade: 3.9, a B+. Lawn Hero is the reason I continue to try new session IPAs: even though at least 90% of them turn out to be one and dones, every once in a while I'll find a diamond in the rough that reminds me why this substyle needs to exist. It's not necessarily an impressive beer, but Cameron's has done a good job of making this 4% brew come off as well-rounded and wholesome. Not only that, I could drink this stuff by the litre. If you have any appreciation for session IPAs at all, I encourage you to find a (relatively fresh) can of this and give it a try.

Pored a 473ml can into a pint glass. A two finger fine bubbly white head on a clear pale gold. The head diminishes to a thin layer that sticks around to the end. Some patchy lacing.
A resinous, herbal hop aroma. It tastes of citrus and herbal hops. A mildly bitter hop finish.
A smooth mouthfeel with a light body and moderate carbonation. Overall an interesting American IPA. The low ABV and light body distinguish it from other offerings. Worth a try to experience a dialed back IPA.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From The Roundhouse Centre LCBO on Howard Ave. in nearby Windsor. No date stamp or lot number. My 16th beer from the Oakville, Ontario brewery, and 4th for 2026. Loved by Gracie the cat...
