Pours black with two fingers of dense khaki foam. Aroma is heavy chocolate and roast, with mild toast and lactose behind. Doesn't smell hearty, which matches the ABV. Flavor profile is milk chocolate first, with soft roasty and toasty malts behind. Some light toffee and lactose tacks on a little sweetness at the finish, but it never really leans into sweet or bitter. Mouth feel is smooth and creamy. It's decadent for being so light. Some mild silt at the finish. Thickness is medium-thick. Overall, a creamy glass of chocolate milk with a little bit of alcohol on it. It smells heavy than it tastes or drinks.

Draft sample at the brewery, thanks to Thayer for this one!
Dark brownish black, thin foam layer, minor spotty lace.
Aroma is sweet, chocolate syrup and milk derived.
Taste is a bit cloying, though there is a chocolate presence.
Body is thin and slick, fairly light in carbonation.
This was a one and done, wouldn't get again.
