Copenhagen 20/9 2020. 50 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. Warpigs' usual design with a black can with a boar head and skull this time in pink-is red.
Pours unclear, golden yellow with a big, frothy, white head. Settles as thin, patchy, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a moderately strong sweet, malty odor mingling with citric and fresh notes. Sweet pale malts and hint of caramel. Citrus, lemon, fresh grass.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a bit. Finish is bitter and dry.
Fine Pilsner. As bitter as it should be. No more, no less.
