Brewery only release.... their 'Insanity' barleywine barrel aged for a full year. Poured from a growler into a tulip.
L: Pours a clear dark mahogany color. Thin tannish head with sticky lacing.
S: Boozy... bourbon and alcohol. Malts and sweets.
T/F: Pretty much regular Insanity on steroids. Big time malts... caramel and dark sugars with massive barrel character. Bourbon of course... vanilla and char. Hints of dark fruit and candy. Obscenely smooth and low carbonation. Strong and boozy... definitely warming.
O: A ridiculous and over the top beer. Complex and delicious. This stuff will mess you up fast... and must be higher than the stated ABV. Absolutely worth a trip to the brewery to taste. Proceed with caution!
