Arrived in a standard pint glass a bright dark copper color with not much head to speak of. Looks nice in the glass but it's not overly impressive. Pretty standard really. Aromas of sweet caramel, creamy nuts and a slight hop. The smell is kinda weird really and seems off for an ESB.
First sip brings sweet caramel malt along with an underlying odd creamy nuttiness. Just a perplexing flavor that is hard to place. A hint of citrusy hop is there but not nearly what I expected. This brew is not really extra special or bitter. Dissapointing.
Mouthfeel has a smooth medium body with mellow carbonation. I'm not going to be ordering any more of this..goes down smooth but the flavor is too off. I'd say try something else if you decide to stop by Taylor.
