I tried this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight whilst there for Pucks for Autism with my Bro-in-law, beastie and son. It poured a slightly hazy golden with thin white ring head that is leaving some lace. The scent had bold pineapple citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet malt base with supper pineapple citrusy presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

Very smooth taste and 10% is always a nice buzz. Was hoping for more of a pineapple taste like Sprechers which has a "Pineapple X-Press" but defiantly worth a taste

The ABV has changed from batch to batch, but this years version is absolutely amazing at 8.7%.
Lots of citrus notes in this one with a great pineapple finish!

Poured into a snifter on draft at Firkin in Libertyville, IL...
Appearance - a very hazy opaque apricot, about a finger of golden light amber head, left very nice lacing along the insides of the snifter
Smell - definite pineapples, tart and sweet, ripe citrus and lite pine also present
Taste - OMG - huge pineapple, semi-sweet, lite citrus and grapefruit, then salted carmels and vanilla bean, absolutely fantastic!
Mouthfeel - medium to full with low foaming carb, almost mouthcoating, carb lets some of the floral hop notes sneak in, drinkable but is much better sipped, alcohol perfectly hidden.
Overall - I would order this over and over again, great pineapple flavors, the salted carmel is so delicious and unique, the vanilla bean is such a fantastic compliment, this is a must try if you ever visit Firkin in Libertyville, IL!
