A-Medium brown with a quickly disappating head. this is about a 3.75, same with smell so I upped on and downed the other

S-Piney hops. Little bit of wood. that's about it

T-The cask imparts a bit of oakiness to the beer. Little bit of bittering hops

M-nice body and smooth. Very drinkable

O-Decent beer. I am not normally into this style, but i will order this again.

Served in a nonic pint glass at Mickey Finn's

This beer pours a deep plum colored body with a coarse white foam from the hand pumping, it doesn't last long. The aroma is really really nice it combines some plum, raisin, a bit of woodsiness, and a serious dark rich caramel smell. The caramel comes out as the predominant flavor as well. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but there is an earthy woodsy finish that in all honesty I don't much care for. It is almost like there is a touch of roasted malt, but that is probably unlikely. The more likely aspect is that is something similar, if not actually, Ringwood ale yeast. A yeast which has phenols I truly don't care much for. The mouthfeel I would have expected smoother on cask, even for the style but it was more of an astringent bitterness that coming from the hops as I would have expected. Overall this was a good beer, but it doesn't really hit a home run here.

Served in a nonic pint glass at the brewpub.

Sampled this during an ...interesting... conversation with a fellow bar-sitter. It pours a very lightly hazy copper-amber topped by a half-finger of cream micro-froth. The nose comprises fresh green hops (akin to Centennial, I think), flowers, cedar, and a light touch of oak. The taste holds notes of grass, clover, oak, and some very light and watery toffee in the back. The body is a light medium, with a pretty light carbonation and a somewhat gloopily smooth feel. Overall, a fairly solid bitter, which is definitely helped by the cask engine, but I'm not sure I'd seek this one out in particular all the time.
