Attractive sudsy pour. Color is dark brown with beige foam and plenty of lacing in the Bacchus tumbler. Pleasantly malty with a very nice roasted grain flavor. Caramel with an edge of burnt malt, but overall thoroughly mellow with a nice dry finish to balance.
A winey note along with a little mineral in the finish. Just enough bitterness in the aftertaste. This is a very workmanlike dark brew and my favorite of the the four Lonesome Valley beers I was able to get 22 oz bottles of. Purchased at the brewery tap in Prescott Valley.
