Poured into a tulip. The appearance was a burnt hazy orange color with a settling little bit of a white foamy head. Lacing rides along delicately after dissipation of the head. The smell had a superb bitter juicy grapefruit to orange bitterness rolling all about. Super subtle resin underneath. The taste was absolutely phenomenal - sweet juicy orange pulpiness bursting into a sly bitter grapefruit bitter rind-like quality. Quick sweet to wet orange/grapefruit aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sipping to sessionable quality about it. Carbonation rides super light allowing the IBU’s to hit appropriately but somewhat in a super smooth feel. Overall, another knock out of the park beer by Frost.

Got talked into buying this at a bottle shop in Ludlow Vermont. Salesman compared it to Heady Topper. Not sure about that comparison but it is a very very tasty and good beer that I would drink as often as I could find it.

Bottle shared by Curran. Regular Lush was so good, so this should be twice as good, right?

It's pours a wonderfully bright and hazy dark-ish orange, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This just takes the already outstanding Lush and jacks it right up. The smells is wonderfully dank citrus, orange, pineapple, mango, peach, grapefruit- you get the idea, with more pine and marijuana-y type things as well.

This is definitely better than regular Lush, though that seems unfair. It's way juicier up front, but even better for me- it's way more bitter on the finish, making it feel more complete and balanced, despite the fact it's an unapologetic hop bomb and not meant to be balanced in the slightest. This is Trillium-esque, for sure, with how big the aforementioned various fruit flavors are, and how thick and creamy tasting it is. The bitter finish is nice, and lingers for a while, making you want to take sip after sip.

This is pretty rich for the style, thick and creamy, but still so drinkable.

Wow! This is unbelievable. I'm in love.

L-The beer pours a soft hazy yellow. A moderate pour leads to a fluffy white 3 finger head. Lacing is moderate and trails the beer back to the surface.
S- The beer shines here. This aspect was the weakest on the regular Lush, and the dry-hopping made a real difference here. The mango and citrus hop aromas overflow your glass and can be perceived much further away. Same great smell just amplified.
T- The mango and citrus flavors also seem a little stronger than the base beer. I have no idea if its the variation in some of the hops noted on the bottle, or my perception enhanced by the terrific nose. Whatever the reason it comes off as slightly juicier. Bitterness seems lighter than the original and is lightly perceived in the finish.
F- Mouthfeel on this version seems a little thinner than the original. Carbonation seems to be slightly stronger which leads to a lighter, dryer, finish. This version doesn't coat the tongue quite like the original.
O- There is a huge improvement in the nose with a slight step back in the mouthfeel. Overall I feel this version is a slight improvement on the original. If you are looking for a great citrus forward DIPA with great balance, you should really pick this one up.

This is the best dipa out of Vermont right now as of 6/4/16. Of course it has the typical NE juiced haze...but it has a crisp, clean, nearly sweet aftertaste. Toe to toe with TH and Trillium. I'm ISO if this gets bottled.

Another exceptional Vermont IIPA. Poured dense orange cloud into glass. Excellent lacing and non translucent. Citrus aroma with an flavor of lemon zest and orange peal. Slight grain finish at the end. Very smooth mouth feel.

Pours a cloudy whitish-amber hue with a hell of a frothy head. Looks like a promising variation on Lush.

Pine, mint and mango aromas upfront. Label doesn't mention the specific hop varieties used for dry hopping.

A rush of lupulin greats the tongue, mild in front but gives way to a burst of juicy mango and grapefruit.

Dry yet bitter finish. Amazing from start to finish.

If you enjoyed Lush, you will appreciate this dry-hopped version!

Enjoyed 2 days after bottling.
Poured from the bottle into snifter. Pours a cloudy golden color with 1 inch of thick head.
Aromas are lots of citrus, some sticky tropical fruit, dried apricot. More aromatic than Lush.
Flavor is interesting. Not quite as citrusy as aroma.
Mouthfeel has less body than Lush IMO and it finished very clean.
Overall, very excited to try this beer. It's delicious and an interesting varietal of Lush.

bottled 5/26/16 - yesterday!!
really excited to see this new experimental version of lush... definitely been digging stuff from frost beer works, and I think lush is up there with some of the top NE IPAs. This double dry hopped version definitely brings some next level aromatics to the table, big tropical and sweet hops on the nose, a medicinal dankness, bubblegummy sweetness and an earthy grassyness. taste is similar - sweet fruity hops with a pronounced orange and grapefruit note, finishes with a subtle bitterness. medium bodied with a nice creamy feel. overall really well done, awesome to see an interesting variation on an already excellent IPA.
