Pours a clear vibrant gold with a foamy two inch head that was well retained and left lacing all the way down the glass. Smells of tropical fruits, citrus and pine. Tastes of mango, orange, pineapple, honey, a hint of grapefruit and some pine. ABV of 9% really not noticeable. Light bodied for a DIPA, well carbonated, finishes slightly dry and bitter.

Bottled on 06/22/2017.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a glossy semi-burnt yellow color with a tight finger's worth of white foamy head that settled at a nice pace to leave some concave lace sticking in a film around the glass.
The aroma takes some sweet mango flesh to a nice piney bitter grip and then brings in a nice earthiness and citrusy zestiness.
The flavor was moderately sweet with an ample bitterness coming through to stiffen up the balance just a tad. Is it sweet or bitter? Its both, but not necessarily "bittersweet." Mild aftertaste of the mango, and pine.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fulfilling sessionability about it. For a DIPA? Yes, for this DIPA specifically. That ABV really doesn't feel like 9%. Semi-dry piney sort of finish.
Overall, seemed like one of those so-called "session DIPA's" but that's not a true style, hey now, don't ask me how Garin Frost did that, go to him and ask the source.

From a bottle dated 6/22/17, at 16 days old. I'd expect more flavor from a VT IPA this fresh.

It pours a clear pale yellow, Nose is inviting, more blossom than fruit. Taste is not as good as the nose, with a strong raisiny sweet malt, but not all the way to sticky as some IPAs will do. Noticeable alcohol tang, but not a burn. It's pretty good - if you don't get very much good Vermont beer. If you drink a lot of the top VT IPAs, it's only decent. In other words, better than Long Trail Space Juice by a little. Not as good as Fiddlehead, Hill Farmstead, Alchemist, Burlington Beer Co, Lawsons, Foley Brothers, Lost Nation, 14th Star.

I liked this a lot more than their Junior IPA. This needs to be a $12 6-pack, not a $7 bomber.

Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a relatively bright golden body. A pleasant surprise after all those New England hazy, cloudy juice bombs so popular these days. Wonderful nose of tropical fruit, citrus, and some dank pine wafting in and out. Taste is very nice with fruit and dankness getting along just fine, thank you. Textbook carbonation gives this the feel that I look for in any beer. Overall, very well done and kudos to everyone involved in the production and delivery of this beer! This means you, Chris the truck driver! ;)

pours an almost clear golden orange with a bright white head, great lacing. this one has aromas and flavors of orange, mango, grapefruit, hint of pineapple, some green herbal notes and dankness, sweetish honey malt, pine needles, touch of booze on the finish.
