Can dated 01/04/2018.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a semi-cloudy to hazy orange/copper color with a finger's worth of white foamy head. Nice looking speckled lace wound around the glass nicely.
The aroma had a huge portion of hay and grass up front with a baked bready note surrounding it and then some coriander, light pine, and a little bit of Belgian yeastiness with a stifling smokiness underneath.
The flavor was moderately sweet through the blend of the hay, grass and Belgian yeastiness. Smokiness leaned further back, not so much here. Aftertaste was full of hay, grass and pine.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt on par. Crisp grassy and hay-like dryness in the texture leading into a refined semi-gliding sort of distraction to some of that coriander spice that honestly didn't seem to show up imparting any sort of harshness here.
Overall, pretty good Belgian Pale ale as that's what the brewer says it is.

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch white over a slightly hazy body with some nice lacing. Nose of earthy pine, slight citrus, and an even slighter smokiness wafting in and out. Also, some notes of a Belgian yeast with its attributes including those of a saison. Taste of pine and citrus with a nice feel. Overall, this is quite unique as the label says:
"Limited Release
Farmhouse Pale Ale
Wakazacca"
and it really has a sort of identity crisis, with the saison and pale ale personalities going at it!
Still, a really nice offering from Hinesburg, VT.
Cheers!
