Canned on 01/29/2018.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking clean milky bright yellow color. A finger's worth of white foamy head sat atop of the glass and slid off fairly nicely. Slight concave filmy foamy lace ran around the glass fairly nice.
The aroma captured a wonderful blend of fresh clean laundry to a sweet fresh piney/airy scent, slightly like pine needles. Light lemon fresh airy-ness.
The flavor was moderately sweet and the more I sipped this one the more I noticed that airy fresh piney needle-like cleanliness. That clean fresh laundry character I smelled seems to be slightly lost in the taste. Mild aftertaste of the pine and lemon.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a touch under with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine, semi-low, though tickling/somewhat noticeable (is this considered a flaw for a New England styled IPA if the carbonation is noticeable? Me, honestly, I'm not exactly sure). ABV does seem to be as projected by the brewer.
Overall, seems somewhat of an odd cross of an American styled IPA to a New England styled IPA. If the carbonation would be brought down just a touch more, maybe I'd want to call this a true New England styled IPA. But the aromas and flavors seem to me to be really 'unique.' I really liked that.

Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a slightly hazy light golden body with some lacing. Nose of tropical fruit, citrus, and a bit of pine. Taste mirrors nose with a smooth, well balanced experience right to the finish. Soft feel and overall, yet another nice IPA from these guys. Cheers!
