Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a murky copper color with a small white foamy cap of a head. Moderately dissipated to leave some sly messy lace.
The aroma had some sweet bready saison qualities rolling over some sweet to herbal gin botanical/floral fresh character. Light woodiness with some dried honey.
The flavor was moderately sweet brushing the gin botanicals against the honey and woodiness with some pine and breadiness. Super nice aftertaste of the breadiness, gin botanicals, floral and honey.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt on par. Finish was brisk with some botanical gin-like character, honey and pine.
Overall, since I'm a fan of gin, gin barrelling a beer is legit and a half if done right and well, Frost definitely did this one right, we'll say way more than just "right."

Poured from bottle into a teku. A slightly hazy, lemonade yellow with a soft finger of head that slowly dissipates leaving a bit of lace. Slight juniper and yeast on the nose, very nice. Taste is delicious, with just a hint of gin, and little oak, but a delicious soft saison backbone that is wonderful. Mouth feel is great...slightly dry and soft. Overall, this impressed me a lot. I'll be back for more if it's still around when I get there.

Poured from the 22 oz bottle into a snifter.
Pours a golden straw color with just a bit of haze and low level bubbly head.
Aromas are the eucalyptus notes of gin, wood and light bready malt.
Flavors are astounding. Perfectly balanced levels of gin and wood and ale. Best example Ive seen flavor wise.
Mouthfeel was excellent.
This beer was a surprise and one of my most enjoyed beers recently.

Gentle to moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a slightly hazy light golden body with some lacing. Nose of peppery saison yeast and the floral and herb characteristics from the Caledonia Spirits Tom Cat Gin barrel. Taste brings out more of the gin's botanicals and even more of its booze. I've sampled hard cider aged in these barrels before but this is more to my liking due to the carbonation which is lacking in hard cider. Nice feel and overall, a very unique offering from Hinesburg, VT.
