On tap at Blackback Pub in Waterbury, VT. A very dark brown with a thin light tan head. Initial impression was bourbon, some maple syrup, and a hint of vanilla beans. Mouthfeel is fairly thick; carbonation is light. Finish is somewhat dry and a little bitter.
I can't get past the booze and too-sweet maple syrup combo - at least for me, that's not something that goes together. I suppose it might resonate for some people, but sorry - I just don't get it.

This was more of a bourbon that has been beer aged. I say that’s a good thing. Pretty nice brew!
